Roger Watkins (UK) has a background in economics and marketing and more than 30 years experience with business development and man management and a proven record for delivering profit growth. Over the past 16 years he has held positions as marketing manager, national sales manager, commercial director and managing director with a large European multi-facility warehousing and distribution company. He is also a former chairman of the British Cold Storage and Distribution Federation (CSDF).
His focus as a consultant is on logistics projects. Recent assignments involved delivering an efficiency program for fuel usage for the UK Department of Transport, making business development plans in the ambient warehouse sector, and cost improvements schemes. In cooperation with industry bodies, he has worked on establishing a standard for handling equipment and on UK transport surveys.
