Arjo van der Horst is a specialist in port and terminal logistics. He has an educational background in private and maritime law, finance, economics and marketing. Throughout his career he has worked for concerns like Pakhoed and Furness, experts in port and 3rd party port logistics, where he held senior positions as managing director, president and board member in the Netherlands as well as abroad.
As a consultant, he has been involved in feasibility studies and investment projects in cold store (related) logistics, business development and start-ups, 3rd and 4th party logistics, and supply chain integration. He has extensive international experience, particularly in Eastern European countries like the Russian Federation, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the Czech Republic. Based in the Netherlands he knows the ports of Rotterdam and Amsterdam inside out.
